OTHER COMEDY GREATS
207 JOHNNY CARSON (1958-1971)
We proudly present our own salute to the man who has entertained
millions for over 40 years. There are rare clips of Johnny from "Who
Do You Trust?", and in other great highlights, he's clowning and joking
with Pearl Bailey, Jerry Van Dyke, Joey Heatherton, Don Rickles, and
Charlton Heston. Also: a funny Stump the Band moment, and some
hilarious outtakes while Johnny and cohort Ed MacMahon were
trying to tape commercials for the "Who Do You Trust?" program.
Skitch Henderson also appears in some segments. If you're a fan
of this great performer, you'll want to own this tape!

Sisters. Comedy includes a Driver Education lesson, and a satire
on the navy.

A spoof of trailer park living is seen.

528 THE RED SKELTON SHOW, II
1. THE RED SKELTON REVUE (9/8/54). During the summer of 1954, Red’s
series expanded to an hour and filled Arthur Godfrey’s time slot as well as his
own. In the fall of 1954, the show went back to 30 minutes, where it remained
until the 60s. This is the last of the 60-minute episodes Red did that summer.
His guests are Peggy Lee and Sandra Gould. In a comedy sketch, Red goes
to the dentist, and in another, Freddie the Freeloader meets a tough criminal.
2. THE RED SKELTON SHOW (1/18/55). Red’s guest is Peter Lorre, and this
show features a hilarious “Honeymooners” parody with Peter as Ralph and
Red as Norton.
3. THE RED SKELTON SHOW (1/15/57). Mickey Rooney guests in this
episode. Red and Mickey play sailors about to go on shore leave. They
become contestants on a husband and wife(!) game show.
